This GPIO module is the simplest part of the FPGA. The GPIO pins can drive a buffer to the input or be driven by a buffer from the output based on the program switch. The output buffer enable is passed through an inverter, so either the output or the input is enable but never both.
I will likely add programmable pulling resistors in the future, but I will leave that decision for now as it’s not particularly important.
